Not another Cinderella Story!!!. "Another Cinderella Story" is one of those predictable movies, clearly aimed at those who like "The Princess Diaries" and "A Cinderella Story", always released just in time for Christmas and no doubt will walk off the shelves as relatives wrongly assume this is the kind of rubbish their moody teenage nieces will enjoy.
The problem with producing movies like this now-a-days is that they have simply become too common. Produce this movie ten years ago and it would probably be an instant success but now there are such a large number of better-produced movies than this (Ever After and Ella Enchanted spring to mind)that this movie just looks like a piece of rubbish from the editing floor of it's predessors. The story line has become as clear as getting up and eating your breakfast in the morning: hard done-by girl meets usually popular boy under a hidden identity, boy must discover her identity often through a series of supposedly funny scenarios before realising who she is marking the end of the story. Admittedly the producers of this movie do make some little efforts to create a story with a difference (Cinderella loses her i-pod instead of the traditional glass slipper and Cinderella is supposedly a dancing diva intent on attending a dance academy) but any such efforts are let down by possibly one of the weakest scripts I have ever encountered. Relying almost entirely on physical comedy and American slang the result is neither comical or romantic.
The acting is not great. Understandably most of the actors are young teenagers but as we have seen from the success of movies like "High School Musical" young teenagers are perfectly capable of singing, dancing and acting. Selena Gomez is the film's one and only asset. She is basically the reason this film is getting 2* instead of one. She is cute, lively and endearing. Her love interest Andrew Seeley sadly is not as good. Not only does he have practically no charm, he is hardly heart-throb material and he cannot even manage to build up a plausible chemistry between himself and Selena. I won't even begin on the dumbing down of the ugly sisters to an almost sub-human level. If people acted the way they did in this movie they would be locked up.
I would recommend this movie for children under twelve. Teenagers would find it rather silly and childish due to the absence of chemistry between the leads, the lack of witty humour and the surprisingly tame dance moves (not to mention the severe shortage of dances in the movie.) Quirky music and cute costumes are about the only thing this film has going for it. It's about time someone produced "A Cinderella Story", with some clever dialogue and where not all the characters are either black or white.

Okay But Way Too Prejectable.. I adored A Cinderella Story not only for Chad Michael Murray but it was a bittersweet romance and suited well for the infamous tale. When I heard there was a sort of sequel of it, I had to find out if it could beat the first. My verict? Not really. It's about Mary played by Selena Gomez being the maid for her evil stepmother who is a aging singer and her annoying stepsisters who's suck-ups to the poplaur girl in school. When the famous dancer returns played by Andrew Seeley, he offers everyone a chance to enter in his next dance video and sparks a intrest to Mary. They sort of meet until the black and white ball where they dance until tweleve, she leaves something behind and he must find the girl that captured his heart. It's very prejectable and not really funny, it seems staged and rushed. The whole romance of the pair is non-existat, there's no chemisty and the boy isn't chasmitic or worth rushing to kiss him. Selena Gomez has a very annoying high-pitched voice and it got to me qutie a bit, I was pretty disappointed that it didn't even try to overcomplte with A Cinderella Story. But I suppose for younger teens may enjoy it and like the whole girl-meets-boy, girl-loses-boy and tries to fight for his love and her nasty family. It's okay, not the best but it's so prejectable that you might just turn it off after twenty minutes.

Better than Cinderella Story. From the trailer I have watched of Another Cinderella story. This one definitely looks better than Cinderella story and it has more of a storyline in this one. This one looks a lot better than Cinderella story who has in Hilary Duff in it. Selena Gomez is amazing actress. So definitely watch it when it comes out on DVD in September!!!
