These headphones came without box, label or any indication that they are an Apple product. I don't believe they are made by Apple and I'm amazed that they can be sold through Amazon.
I received a couple of days ago these iphones and my initial feedback was negative as the sound is (1) a really poor quality and (2) is actualy hurting my eardrums. My second though was even more negative as the finish of the headphones is a shame... Anyway I sent an email to the seller and never got any response.. I'm surprised that this seller is authorised to sell on Amazon.
I was convinced that the product is the new in ear phones of apple with the small remote, while it wasnt, so i was a bit dissapointed. The price was relatively high, especially for an old model of the product. Moreover, when im running or walking with the device for an hour or more, my ears started to hurt.
.....but once they have, they sound decent. I have to agree with the other eviewer, the silicone tips are awful and do affect the sound quality quite drastically. My solution was to buy a set of silicone standard tips (for about 30p) of eBay and put them on instead! This doubled the quality of fit and sound straight away. One star off, however, as they malfunctioned when the metal grille got clogged up. It took about a month for the unit to dry up enough to work again.
The cable on my wonderful Sony EX71 earphones broke as I was on my way to the seaside... I went to the nearest town and nearest shop to by the same ones, but they only had EX75 model. And due to the slightly different shape I was concerned if they will fit correctly underneath my motorcycle helmet. So I decided to go for the Apple ones instead as they have very similar and even more attractive shape compared to Sony EX71. Bass is nowhere near as deep and impressive as with the Sony earphones and they kept falling out of my ears regardless of the adapter size... They are a bit louder then the Sony ones, but it seems this is at the expense of overal sound quality and this only makes your ears hurt. The sound is not as crisp and clear as with the Sony ones... These have a very attractive wire mesh in place of a pinhole outlet that Sony uses, which is one of the reasons why they don't sound as good... The rubber/sillicone adapters are asymetric and with the pin that is supposed to help fit them right, but this means they can not rotate freely due to movements, and they too will fall apart... The cable only comes in a single peace so it is not possible to adjust the lenght by combining cables, and it is symetric meaning even more troubles with it as you can't place it around your neck for extra support to keep it in place. Moreover, the jack is not gold-plated and you can hear how bad the connection is if you rotate it while it's plugged in... So no - I will not buy these again. I feel my trip to the sea would have been more exciting with the good old Sony EX71!
brilliant sound and extreme comfort, but the headphones may fall out if your running for the bus. three sizes are included and therefore they fit everybody. overall great headphones, and far superior to the headphones that come with the ipod. word of warning though - somebody's selling some imitation ones on this page, which quite obviously don't sound as good. quality costs money, and those most probably didn't cost allot of money. ;) >:)===O< giraffe =)
These produce a really good sound for the price. The only thing to bear in mind is that they fall out of your ear very easily, so pretty useless for jogging. However, the Shure PA752M Foam Sleeves fit on them perfectly: with these they stay in your ears and sound even better. So I'd recommend buying some of those too.
