At just over a year old my iPods battery life has suddenly decreased to around an hour of play, this is of no use to me whatsoever after having an iPod adaptor fitted in my car. It also continuously decides to freeze, you have to hold play and the centre button to reboot. It is ugly and far too big for the gym. There isnt a good enough range of cases for the product. Even though I treat my property with care, even using the daft sock apple give you, it is impossible not to get the iPod covered in scratches. Charging any iPod has to be the most annoying task known to man, iTunes is the worst software I have ever used!!! Why would you voluntarily put yourself through that monstrosity! I had to pay an extra £25 for a wall charger, the lead with the wall charger became faulty within a week of purchase. The main issue is there is nothing to challenge Apple and their continuous failure in MP3's. However, I may invest in Microsoft's Zune next and I'll get over the bulkiness. The only reason this product is getting one star is because I can't give none.

The item arrived 4 days after initial online financial transaction. The ipod recieved was a perfect match to the accurate description provided by the seller. The ipod works fine - does what a 30GB Ipod (5th Generation) is supposed to do. Completely satisfied with my purchase and wouldn't hesitate to buy from this particular seller again.

One of the most satisfactory experiences I've had after a purchase was the lean, pristine look of the black iPod. It was perfect, splendid - simply beautiful!!! The first thing I did after carefully unpacking it from its neat case was switching it on. With an explosion of solid colours it literally comes to life and you immediately see the quality of this product. The design is unique, and for me it is perfect. The rotating all-in-one wheel is simply outstanding. The sound quality is impressive, and you have the option to further enhance this by purchasing better headphones. The video display leaves you speechless. I converted a movie from a DVD on my computer onto the iPod and I have yet to find a better video player at that size! The iPod comes with games and a massive storage capacity of 30GB (although you can find it at 60GB and at more with the new models). I bought this about 2 years ago when it was brand new, and spent £225 or so. It was an investment which I do not regret having made! To this day, it remains in pristine condition thanks to the i-Skin I bought (£15, which is a lot, but every time I pull out the iPod I get the same feeling I got the first day! =) Some people have had a negative experience with their iPods when these have scratched too easily (which they do) or where their batteries have not lasted very long or even the hardware has stopped functioning properly. I am convinced there are always a few defective iPods that come out, and these are covered by the warranty. The battery life, like with mobiles and other products, can be maintained at a healthy level if treated properly (i.e. using all the battery until it is flat and then charging it to the maximum). To date, I am happy I did not spend any more money on bigger, unnecessary storage as I still have 15 gigabytes to use. The iPod remains like new thanks to the i-Skin and I have not had any problems with it! I am a happy customer and would strongly advise you to read reviews before you purchase a product, although at prices like these you should really try one before anyways. Don't be afraid though, it isn't just coincidence that iPods are the most popular and sought after mp3 players!

what apple doesnt tell you is that the battrey is lithium, which has a self life of a year. watch dog did a piece on it and it was very insightful. dont get me wrong ipods are great, the sofwares amazing. its the battery that lets them down. as there not replacable you have to get a new ipod. this userally happens just after the garuntee has run out. cleaver apple. Zen micro is just as good if not better. the sofewares hard to navigate but the device itself is beyond compare. plus changable batterys

I ordered an i-Pod for my son's birthday but due to a delivery error from the USA the colour I requested was not available. Sam at Artane was frantically chasing Apple in the USA for a new batch when I called him. When I explained that I needed the i-Pod urgently for a present he said he would ship to us in time for the required date. True to his word the i-Pod arrived earlier than expected. The iPod 30GB is an amazing little gadget. Okay, so it's pretty big for a music player, but what are people really looking for these days? Gadgets are gradually getting smaller and smaller. But whats the need? This iPod has kept me company plenty of times since I bought it, you don't get exactly 30GB, its something around 28.7GB, I haven't even reached 20GB yet! Personally this is a must buy for all you people seeking a music player.

The iPod is simply superb, it does everything. The sound quality of music is excellent and it can hold loads of music. Someone mentioned you only get about 28Gb of memory not 30. This is because Apple has had to install the software on the iPod. Someone else said you could only get videos from iTunes. This is not true either. You can download videos from YouTube using a free program called iTube. Just type iTube into google. This iPod is strongly recommended.

This is a great little media player. easy to use and looks cool, but the battery is awful. i have to charge it EVERY day which is a pain to say the least...
