Too hot to handle - quite literally!. For the money, these are some of the best straighteners I have ever used. They heat up really quickly, and they get my hair as straight as anything else I have tried (I've never had to use them at the highest heat setting 10 yet - the most I've needed is 8).
Despite them doing a brilliant job of straightening my hair, there are two major flaws with these straighteners. The first is the handle can get quite hot if used for longer than 5 minutes at the higher heat settings, to the point where it could actually be quite dangerous. Secondly, and this is the real pain - the on/off switch can easily be pressed whilst in use, and I very often find that I'm trying to straighten my hair with it switched off without realising - very frustrating! It may be ok for people with really small hands, but I wouldn't say my hands were particularly large.
So, had it not been for these two issues, I would have strongly recommended these straighteners, but as it stands, they're not perfect by any means.

As good as GHD's for fraction of the price!. Just got these for Christmas and I have to say they are fantastic! My old straighteners would not get my hair half as straight and after about 10mins my hair would go frizzy again. First time I used my new straighteners I noticed a difference straight away - they glided through my hair and made it so straight (like when the hairdressers blow dry it) and best thing yet it stays straight I don't have to go over my hair again the next day or anythin once i've done it the once it just stays like that :oD I'm made up with them!
The heat dial is good too so you can choose a heat setting suitable for your hair type - I've been using 5/6 (it a 1-10 dial) so medium heat seems to work well for me.
I would definitely recommend these hair straighteners - they are just as good as GHD's but not as expensive!

Babyliss Straighteners. RELATING TO BABYLISS OR ANY OTHER BRAND OF STRAIGHTENERS
Straighteners which have the On/Off Switch and Temperature controls on the topside of the handle are USELESS.
It is impossible to avoid touching these switches whilst holding the straighteners to straighten your hair. They will constantly switch off or temperature settings will be adjusted. Therefore, takes twice as long to straighten hair. Most Babyliss have this design fault, along with a few others. Obviously not reliable or practical. Obviously, not tested on real people with real hair!

Not that impressive. Was going to purchase a pair of these today from Comet after reading such good reviews. Thank god they had display items in their shop to allow me to run them through my hair. These weren't as smooth as I expected, I ended up buying Vidal Sassoon ceramic solid plates(rather than ceramic coated) as they glided without pulling half my hair out, not to mention they were even cheaper too!
