Superb for the left handed too. I'm not good at hair, or tongs, so it was a relief to find some thought has gone into the design for the less than fluent at hair styling.
You clamp the section of hair into place, and follow the grooves, winding upwards. Then press and count for 10 -15 seconds depending on hair texture, and you've finished. Easy to follow, and you'll get amazing results, first time.
My daughter is 11 years old, and had instant results using them. She's left handed, I'm right handed, so the design is good.
She bounced out of the room she was that delighted with her curls.
I echo what everyone else has said. Instant results, superb curls, long lasting, even on long hair.
You don't need to do all your hair, just a section on each side, gives enough impact - it really is like you've put in a hair extension. And that is some credit to Babyliss.

Tangled and exasperated. It's really hard to match the curl in the tongs with your own hair so it missed the grooves and gets tangled, espeically when you then have to 'set' the curl.

Great curls, hard to use. These curlers give a great curl, which does last.
However I found them impossible to use in both hands. If you have someone to help you then these are great curlers for the price. If you are doing this yourself then you may struggle as I did to get the curls all the way round your head, hense only 3 stars.

Surprisingly great curlers. I'm not generally very good at doing fiddly things like curling my hair, but these were so easy to use, they left perfect curls that lasted for ages and even survived a walk through massive winds! It only takes a couple of attempts to get the knack with them and they left my hair really glossy. Its really easy to create different looks with them, from really tight baby doll curls to looser more wavy styles because of the special button that fixes your curl. I'm really glad I got these rather than a more traditional pair and I've already recommended them to friends.

Did nothing to my hair. I bought these eagerly to give my hair some funky loose waves and curls. I was so disappointed. My hair is just above my waist, naturally wavy and thick but smooth and shiny too. In order to achieve controlled curls I need to have straightened my hair before. The curlers did absolutely nothing to my hair. It even felt like they weren't hot enough to work, even after having them on for 20 minutes. I even tried curling my hair days after washing it, to see if that would make a difference. Nothing.
I found that the method of curling does not work for my layered hair. The ends of my hair are not the same length as the rest of my hair. Also, it is very difficult to be pressing your hair in. It really hurts your hands. For me it was a waste of money and I seriously think nothing will be able to curl my hair apart from a hairdresser :(
