It's a great product and it was a fantastic price. It also arrived in outstanding time. Cheers, Nikk

Waste of money, space, time etc.

Just Don't buy! I bought a separate antenna so i got signal so it worked for a bit but it just loves to hang and allow existing connections to stay alive but not create new ones! Truly the worse product i have had to deal with on my PC

Wireless Broadband made easy.

Very good product. When I needed help, I received excellent assistance and even when the job was done, they phoned me after a week to see that all was well. That's what I call service. docusk

The worst Wireless card on the market.

Rated Rated 1 out of 5 by M. L. Button, Leicester, UK on 28th November 2009

Let me start by saying I'm an IT professional and in all my years I have yet to of found a network card that just doesn't do it job. But after installing such a card I can truly say it's a real stinker. I have tested the card with 3 different wifi routers. A D-Link DSL-604+, Linksys WAG54GS and even a Belkin FSD7230-4. When connected to the D-Link it will not work with 128bit WEP security and the connection is intermittent. With the Linksys it does not connect at all. And with the a Belkin (same make as the card), it's connection is also intermittent. I should also point out that the routers have even been situated right next to the PC with the card installed to prove it was not loosing or failing to connect because of the signal strength. I have also tried 2 drivers with the card. The first is the one that came with the card (including downloading the latest version of it.) and one recommended by numerous people on the internet complaining about the poor connectivity. I'm going to be sending my one back to the manufacture requesting it is withdrawn from the market and seeing if they will give me my cash back. Either way, they can keep the card as I don't want it taking up space in the house. Please, do yourself a favor and stay clear of buying it.

At long last

No more little things sticking out (or up) from the front of my computer with silly flashing lights and cables. It is now all neat and tidy with the Wireless thingy out of sight. Its little arial gets in the way a bit at the back of the machine, because of the other connecters, but it does not seem to matter what orientation the arial is in. The signal strength shows "Excellent" almost always, the best I could ever get with adapters was "Good". Oh! Yeah! it was about half the price of the cheapest adapter I had, and I've had a few.

rubbish

Rated Rated 1 out of 5 by Thomas Kell, belfast on 29th June 2009

bought a belkin router years ago and it was rubbish. after searching amazon for a netgear wireless card without luck i thought i'd give belkin another chance with this wireless g card. big mistake, card loses connection and the only way to reset it is to restart the computer, total rubbish from a totally rubbish company. DO NOT BUY BELKIN.

Good Hardware; Poor Software

Rated Rated 3 out of 5 by Mr. Stephen R. Smith on 5th May 2009

Card easy to install and functions well. Sadly the User interface software is a not so good and seems to have some bugs / incompatibilities with XP. Also setting the linkage to a Belkin router should be simpler. But it works.

A Warning Signal

Rated Rated 3 out of 5 by Louis Vallance, Sheffield, SY UK on 6th April 2009

The Belkin Wireless G Card is an obvious choice for any PC user seeking to obatin interent wirelessly from their home router. As standard-issue routers are intended primarily for home use, the G card should be the most logical choice since there seems to be no need to fork out the extra £30 for unnecessary range. However, be warned when installing this card into your computer. First of all, the installation process is straight forward enough: install the drivers from the disk, turn off, whack in the card, restart and voila, you have internet. Well, not exactly. First of all, as of most network adapters, the Belkin drivers are tripe. As my broadband provider suggested in less candid terms, one would be better off going through the wireless network wizard provided by windows. Getting the card to agree with my network was a struggle and a half; all sorts of settings had to be altered such as DNS server settings, codes, check boxes, this that and the other. In total it was almost 3 hours before I got any signal at all, the best being 'Low'. I would recommend the following: - Go for the G+ as opposed to the standard G and/or buy a high gain antenna (money permitting), which concentrates the signal directly to your computer instead of wasting it on your garden. - Move your router out of any alcoves if possible and keep it away from metalic surfaces. - Most cards are set to broadcast on the same channel. Go to the settings portal for your internet provider and change the channel. This should greatly increase reception. Doing all of these my signal increased to an average of 'Good', sometimes even 'Very Good' but never 'Excellent'. To conclude, I would recommend this card only if you plan to be in very close proximity of your router (or interent source), and don't expect an easy ride with the set-up process.

Excellent wireless card

Rated Rated 5 out of 5 by M. ISMAEL, UK on 8th September 2008

First it was very easy to setup, don't bother with CD installation just go to Belkin UK and download latest driver/package,install the drivers/software turn PC off and install card, switch PC back on and it should automatically be detected and installed. I can use either the Belkin software or native XP configuration, one thing to remember is if you use an "open" encryption make sure you check in the belkin software its set to that, mine was set to "shared" encryption so would not allow me internet web browsing/connection with the belkin software until I changed that from "shared" to "open",took 5 secs to do but can cause headaches for new users,if you use XP to take care of the wireless setup it was already set for open encryption so easier to setup. Signal wise it says excellent signal(its in a different room to my wireless router) and has not dropped connection so far. 5 stars since its easy enough to setup.Mine was version 7000 which is the latest for this model.
