Creative Couldn't Care Less. Beware of Creative customer care.
I recently contacted them with a problem with my MP3 player.
Basically, although it worked fine and was fully loaded with my whole music and video collection, I couldn't add any further content to it.
Customer care took me through a diagnostic process which ended with a instructions to completely reformat the machine, stripping it of its operating system.
I e-mailed them to say I was nervous of doing this, but they insisted it was necessary and that if it didn't work I'd be invited to send the unit in for repair or replacement.
When I took the fateful step and lost everything they informed me that I was out of warranty and they wanted £60 to repair it (even though they had known my purchase date and had a copy of my Amazon receipt from the beginning).
As this unit can now be bought for about this amount I had no option but to bin it.
Result, no player, 4500 tracks and dozens of films lost forever.
If they had told me the cost of repair before pushing me to reformat I could have made and informed decision.
Do not trust their advice, in fact if I were you I'd buy elsewhere!

Excellent speakers - but may need to count them. These are excellent speakers, fantastic sound, very stylish and really easy to install. The speakers have more power than most people will ever need, and are well shielded, so they can stand near the PC. Two minor points - I have a Realtek sound card, and I had to tell it there were 8 speakers, not 6, in order to get the rear speakers to play (more an issue with my card, than the speakers, but I offer this as advice to anyone wondering why they aren't getting the full surround sound). The point which knocks a star off is that the cables on the rear speakers are too short so extension cables are necessary if you want to run cables around the edge of the room and not across the floor

Clear sound. Just bought these and got it the next day with Amazon Prime. Swift and great service from Amazon yet again.
These speakers are well designed with a blue illuminous light to indicate power on and the sound quality is clear and sharp. The bass from the subwoofer actually makes the earth shake in your room so there is no need to switch the bass on to it's fullest to experience the real and full effect of this system. The leads are sufficient for all the speaker's connectivity unless you have a large size room although the adaptor I must say is pretty heavy and ugly but whose gonna notice that anyway.
Overall a great price in terms of quality and design for this compact 5.1 set which is more than enough for PC output but I would have preferred it to be all silver hence the 4 stars. Worth buying.

Blown Away. Just hooked these upto my Creative X-Fi Gamer xtreme card and was amazed at how good they sound. I thought my last speakers were loud but these are amazing. Playing a game of watching a film the sound is crstal clear with a nice deep base sound coming from the Sub Woofer that isn't even turned up that much. Buy them now they are welll worth the price.
