Good, not the best but still good! . Well, i didnt think this was the best season yet. i think the 3rd season wins that title. it was good though. although the new woman Katherine, i'm not so sure of. and i found her storyline to be even less believable than the Applewhite storyline in season 2. i do love this show though, but at times i found myself thinking "how many more lies and schemes can these people get up to?!"
well, the best episode in season 4 was the tornado episode, it was a cracker! and again this season, Lynette and Tom have been fab! and Orson has just got better and better, when he and Bree were staying at Susan's after the tornado, and Susan told him about his naked sleepwalking, well he did something that i just kept rewinding to and laughing my head off at :D also love how utterly selfish Gabrielle is, i dont even think she realises it! the fight she had with the guy in the wheelchair was priceless. and Edie, Edie, Edie when will you learn girl?!
and i LOVE the new gay couple. god, they are fab - u - lous!!!
also loved Susan been pregnant, and couldnt wait to see whether it would be a boy or girl. and i'm sorry but the name they chose for the little bundle, well Susan, you're the one who heaved and screamed your life out to get the kid into the world, so you can over-rule Mike on this one!
so, to sum it up, yes i very much enjoyed it, and even though i'm not so keen on Katherine, i like her and Bree's relationship and how it develops. it is a good season, but i think with it only been 17 episodes (stupid writers strike) it suffered a bit with trying to cram it all in. i'm still hugely looking forward to season 5 and the 'future.' as always, i will wait until it comes out on DVD. :)

Highly addictive. I have to admit that I found the first two series of Desperate Housewives just so so, but series 3 and especially series 4 turned me into a serious DH addict ( Susan due to her second husband's history will understand forgive me I for this affiction). The music and the narrative are just wonderful. I can never settle who is my favorite housewive.... and that is properly one of the tricks.... they are annoying and likeable at the same time, changing all the time.
As many have pointed out the series gets better and better and more entertaining, but as well more deep. The only remorse I have: it ended too soon. Cannot wait till series 5 is avalaible.

Not my favourite season. Being a great fan of Desperate Housewives I was eagerly waiting for Season 4 to be available. However, I find this season too fast-moving with too many sombre events crammed into each episode. True, we only get 17 episodes instead of the 23 or 24 of the previous seasons, but far more happens in this season. We get very little time to laugh (at our own follies), and are whipped along from one catastrophe to the next. I find it a great pity ... I liked being able to see myself (as a housewife and mother). No time for this now. I'll no doubt be getting Season 5 ... in a year's time ... but will be looking forward to it less. By the way, do watch them in order. Reference is made all the way along to the previous seasons 1, 2 and 3.
