Top Amazon Review

It may not have quite the sex appeal of some other launch titles, but in the US and Japan -- where the PSP has already been out for some time -- Everybody's Golf is easily the most popular PSP game so far. It may look simplistic, even childish, put this is as serious a golfing simulation as you could ever want.Golf has never been a difficult sport to turn into a video game, in terms of getting a little computer person to hit a ball across the screen. The trick has been in making it as accurate and as fun as possible -- attracting both serious golfers and those just looking for a bit of pixelated fun. The Everybody's Golf series has always excelled at this, and this new PSP version is no exception. The game has six new courses and a mountain of customisable features which allow you to create your very own golfer. This is important because one of the game's key draws is the multi-play mode, which allows other players to join in the same tournament even if only one person actually owns the game. It's the game's perfectly designed controls which impress the most, with the simple three button power shots allowing anyone to hit the ball, while pros can practise adding top spin, back spin, fades and hooks to subtly alter their stroke. It's almost painfully addictive once you get started and good enough to attract even committed golf haters to the fold.

Customer Review 1

Boring. I don't know why everyone else likes this. maybe its just me but it is really easy and so it is boring. You can't change the difficulty level. it is very repetitive. if i could give it a 0 star then i would.

Customer Review 2

Fantastic.. This game just goes on and on and on and on. I just can't stop playing it. Buy it and you won't be disappointed.

Customer Review 3

Absolutely brilliant. Quite simply the perfect distraction on a domestic shuttle flight - too short a hop to bother with the computer but just long enough to get a few rounds in and a few course records beaten. I bloody love Everybody's Golf - despite the, very appealing, cute presentation the courses and ball physics are incredibly accurate and detailed. It's proper challenging but never frustrating. Unlike British Airways who are challenging, frustrating and a bunch of miserable incompetent sods.

Customer Review 4

Fun and addictive . I have only just entered the world of gaming at the age of 42, so needed something that was easy to master with not too many buttons to press to get the desired action. This is my 3rd game (after Lemmings which I love, and Worms Ultimate Warfare which is frustrating but fun also). The graphics are very good, and there is enough game play here to keep you going for a very long time. In order to progress and unlock the second course (out of the 6 available) you have to master the challenges of the first course accordingly. This should appease those who complain some games are just too short to enjoy long term. Although it is very anime in style with the characters, this is absolutely no problem, even for hardened golf fans. There is so much to choose from. Fancy just practising with no pressure or detriment for a bad shot? No problem - you can replay shots and choose your hole accordingly. Just want to try and better your round score with no opponent? Easily available on the single play mode. Or you can just putt and practise. If you want to progress though you have to undergo the challenges, along the way winning new prizes. I passed this to my partner on Friday, just so that he could suss out a couple of the features to show me. (He is an experienced gamer but not on PSP). Alas it has meant I haven't been able to get it off of him since!! He has become suitable addicted in the space of a couple of go's, even asking me not to bother getting the Tiger Woods version as he likes this too much. Seriously recommended for anyone, including novices like me who last played a video game back in the Atari and 'pong' days. I just can't wait to get my hands back on it so I can get to the next course. I can see women particularly enjoying this game, as it does offer a little bit of side fun in dressing the characters.

Customer Review 5

Loads of fun and soon on the PS3!. Don't listen to the hacks who only play golf cos it has to be 'real', this game is about fun and has a bit of realism thrown in for free. On the PSP you choose your player, style him/her the way you want them to look and play, choose your clubs and off you go! (My advice: Use the tutorial, cos it gains you advantages later on.) After you go through the courses (several times, I must admit) you get to know your weaknesses and strengths and therefore who you can beat. This takes you on to various championships, and you get better, or lose. Is fun, and sometimes very real when you have a 4' putt, but the ground is sloping left....you hit right...is it enough power? You decide. And as it is now Platinum, you have no reason not to buy now, just for the fun of it. It's out on the PS3 too, at their launch, so it can't be a bad game, can it?
