Addictive. Yes admittedly there are a few drawbacks to this game, mentioned in other reviews, such as the reversal of the X and O keys and the somewhat bizarre animal picture rewards. Having said that, this game works well on a lot of levels and has different layers which maintain interest for long periods of time. The Brain Age test keeps you coming back daily to try and improve your previous score, whilst the school-style grading of the training games makes you keen to improve on your scores in each game, because really, who doesn't want to be given A+ grades for everything they do?! There is also a challenge mode where you travel around the world answering questions. If completed, which is no mean feat, you are rewarded with awards for various different skills, which you can collect in your own little trophy cabinet. This game has kept me addicted long after most of my other game purchases, and the bonus is that you actually do feel like you're improving your brain. It's a win win!

Fun To Play Once You Get Past The Anime. If you're looking for a brain testing puzzly game got for this. I've not played PQ, so can't compare the two. The puzzles keep you going, getting harder as you go. Once you get past the wierdy Japanese-esque anime stuff it's alright. Getting the animal card rewards is just odd. There's enough here to get you practicing, unlocking the puzzles as you do. You can only do one brain age test a day, so there is an incentive to keep coming back.

Customer Review 2

Good brain training, but can be better.. At the time of writing, there are only two 'Brain Games' for the PSP that I am aware of. This and PQ. This is better then PQ. Mind Quiz contains a very large number of tests. Tests fall into one of 4 catergories; Calculation, Reflex, Judgement and Memory. You can pick and choose which test you would like to do. Over and above this, there is a daily brain test, which measures your progress over a given period of time. Your results in this section are given as a 'Brain Age'. Good points. There are enough tests here to challenge most people. It's being used by both me (age 37) and my daughter (age 5), and we are tested by each quiz. The graphics are OK, they look dated, but they compliment the text suitably. Bad points. There are a few of these. But some are minor. The 'X' and 'O' keys are reversed. So in most games you would press 'X' to go forward/select, and 'O' to go back. Here, it's the other way around, which takes a little getting used to. Progress is not saved automatically. So if you forget to save, you start all over again! Whilst the tests are suitable for a 5 year old, Mind Quiz considers you as a 20 year old if you are younger then 20. I'm not convinced that giving you result as a 'Brain Age' is ideal. I'd prefer something like being told whether I am above or below average for my age. Doing well in the tests unlocks animal pictures, indicating this is aimed towards younger people, and yet the minimum 'Brain Age' is 20. That appears to be a contradiction to me! OK, I've listed more bad points then good, but perhaps I'm being picky. In the absence of other 'Brain Games' for the PSP, this is the best that you can get and it will certainly challenge you. Just be aware that you need to adjust the way you 'play' this one.

Customer Review 3

Terrible. Do not buy this game! It's seriously boring and badly thought out (the brain age it gives you is not even accurate - the smallest age is 20 even though the brain stops growing at the age of 18!) The official psp magazine gave it the horrid score of 2/10 - which is the lowest they've given any game ever! If you think this is the psp's version of the Dr Kawashima's Brain Training then you are wrong

Customer Review 4

To the last reviewer A. M. Roper "roper". To be honest that's not the games fault that you messed up the update.. Basically the flash files on your psp got screwed up because the update process was stopped in the middle of what it was doing. They recommend you have at least 75% battery power before doing any updates. You still could of sent the psp off to sony who would of repaired the flash files. The game makers were wrong to tell you it was un-fixable....
