Combines simple, and good-quality ingredients for an easy way to shed pounds. This title features a dietitian's advice on what to eat and what not to eat and daily and weekly menu plans so you can easily follow the diet.
I bought this book after friends of mine raving about it. So far i have lost 9lbs in weight just by following gino's receipes and walking 30mins a day. The food is so tasty and easy to make.
Absolutely first rate book! There's a really inspiring section at the front about dieting, followed by a really good mix of recipes to use everyday of the week. The recipes are so tasty, yet low fat and nutritious. We've been using the book for about 3 weeks now and my wife has already lost half a stone!
All the recipes are so simple to follow and all the ingredients are easily available. I have been so pleased with this book that I have also purchased Gino D'Acampo's first book Fantastico and I am looking forward to working (cooking) my way through it.
I can't remember the last time I bought a cookcook that I have enjoyed so much as this one. The recipes are simple but completely delicious. No fancy, difficult to obtain ingredients (and I live in rural France!) but enough of a twist to keep me interested and coming back. Perfection.
Really like the book and its lay out. I would still prefer a recipe book that has a picture with every recipe because I find it more helpful when cooking. If you like easy cooking though this is definatly a good book for you.
This book is very easy to follow. Have tried many of the recipes and thay always work out exactly as in the book. Some of the chcken recipes are simply fantastic. This is a well written and easy to follow book.Well worth the money.
Well presented, easy to follow and wonderfully tasty recipes that even I could make great to eat!
My pie loving husband is a reformed man thanks to this fantastic recipe book. With great tasting, easy to cook recipes; there is a good balance of meat, vegetarian and fish dishes. I found all the ingredients except pecorino cheese (used parmesan instead) at my local supermarket. Gino helfully provides alternatives ingredients for most recipes. As well as being counted and using the naturally healthy ingredients of the mediterranean diet, it uses flavourful ingredients like garlic and herbs, which reduces the need for salt. As a result I have used many of the recipes to cook for my 10 month baby, with only the need for occasional substitutions like baby stock cubes. I have never enjoyed dieting this much!
I wanted a non-faddy cookbook that would mean I can cook healthy recipes which my fussy family would not turn their noses up at. This ticks all the boxes. For weight loss, the rules are simple, 3 healthy meals a day, no snacking. The advice includes treating food in a social context. All the ingredients have been readily available. I did think 100 recipes seemed limited, but as multiple variations are suggested in the introduction to most recipes, that has not proven to be a problem. You do need to read the introductions for the hints and tips to get the best flavours from the food. Big winners so far have been: Porridge with raspberries and blueberries Baked eggs with ham in tomato and garlic sauce Gino's breakfast bars (I had to make multiple lots of these as the children took them to school to snack on) Three bean chili Chicken with lemon butter sauce Cod with spicy red pesto Incidentally, the book design is useful also, with the wide book leaves holding the pages open when you are cooking. And the diet? Doing well, without being hungry at all.
This recipe book is lovely. It's very easy to follow and the grub is delicious. Marvellous meals in minutes and very healthy too.
