Trust 10 Port Usb 2.0 Power Hub

If anyone needs extra USB ports for their PC then the Trust USB2 Hub is the product to buy. Very easy to install and I've now got all my USB hardware plugged into it which include External hard drive, DVD rewriter driver, printer and midi-keyboard. All of these work perfectly with this neat and compact mains powered hub. Very impressed indeed, great value for money and definately a product you can 'Trust.':)

All appears to be working fine. i stuck this thing to the wall with Blue-tac and is easy accessible and has plenty of ports to use. Does what I need and received it quickly.

This item is exactly what I was looking for and is performing to expectation. If you need USB 2.0 powered hub with 10 ports, this will be the ideal expansion product.

First time i have ever written a review although i have been a customer at amazon for two years. However i feel compelled to write to warn you of the miserable experiance i have had with this router.Firstly i should state that i am technicly minded and know what i am doing around computers so i know i didn't connect it badly. also i should state that this came packaged well and the seller was fine in every way. after connecting it all up my computer wouldn't boot. then having disconected it and booting up fine i reconnected it after my system reloaded up and my system froze immediatly. it told me that my windows 7 64 bit copy was fake. (i bought it last october from amazon)again i had to turn off the computer from the plug as it was totally frozen. having played around with it for ages i decided to go to trusts web site and email them but they have not bothered to write me back. i got it working finally but it is slow, and i mean ten minutes to move a 535kb picture from my hard drive to a usb flash drive plugged into this hub.(should have taken about half a second!) This device causes bugs throught my system and after two days the little blue light went out and i cannot get it working again. i can't return it as the hard plastic vacume sealing style of the packaging it comes in has to be totally destroyed to get the thing out in the first place. I buy a lot of this kind of stuff as i am a gadget freak...this is the worse thing i ever bought..Avoid!

I have recently bought a MacBook Pro (Intel) running Mac OS X. This only has two USB ports which doesn't seem very many to me, being used to multi-port PCs. Still, there are plenty of other features on this MacBook to make up for the lack and you can easily get hold of a USB hub. The product page on Amazon states that this hub works with MS Vista and XP - no mention of Mac OS so I ummed and erred for a while (although I have to say that everything I have so far plugged into this Mac has been recognized and worked immediately). But there are one or two other reviews on here from Mac owners, so I decided to go for it. And the result? No problems. There are three pieces in the package. These are: Mains lead. This is about 1.5m long. The plug is a sensible size and only takes up a standard plugs width of plugboard (no visible built-in transformer). The socket into the USB hub is small and unobtrusive. When powered up, a small blue LED lights up on the USB hub. USB cable. This is also about 1.5m long. One end is standard USB 2 (plugs into the computer) and the other is Mini USB (like most camera connections) which plugs into the hub. So you don't need to buy a separate cable. The hub itself. Which is fine. Tastefully done in black and polished alloy-coloured plastic (goes very nicely with this Mac), it has four tiny rubber feet which help, to some extent, to stop it sliding around my desktop. In fact, it is remarkably stable for something so light and small. Careful arrangement of the leads also helps to keep it steady. So - let's see if it works. Plugged the hub into the computer without the mains lead and noticed that the blue LED lit up - so it works even when not connected to the mains, presumably taking its power from the computer. Next plugged in my Nikon D70, went into Finder and there it was. Good start. Next, I removed the camera and unplugged the hub from the computer. Plugged the mains lead in, followed by my Epson V500 Scanner, Epson Stylus 925 printer and Toshiba USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive (which takes up two sockets), and plugged the hub into the computer. Finder saw the hard disk immediately. Opened the scanner and scanned something. Sent the scanned image to the printer. All working flawlessly. So, all in all, it works exactly as I was hoping it would. On top of that, it looks nice, it sits well on my desk, it is accessible, tidy and small. And it works with this MacBook.

Unit frequently fails to detect devices e.g. mouse and keyboard. Mouse is very jumpy when it is detected. Previous 4 port device still gives no problems. When a light is switched on in the house all devices get "lost" and then get found again. Bing-Bong. They go to great lenghts (in the pictures) to hide the connector style and not show the flimsy PC to unit cable. IMO the power unit is also part of the problem. This generation of low cost light weight "switched mode" power supplies have very poor smoothing performance hence the Bing-Bong. Yes, I sent mine back.

My HP external keyboard attached to an HP laptop usually only works by being directly plugged into the laptop (go figure), but it works fine with this hub. It has 5 ports at the front, 2 on the right-hand side, and 3 at the back (but none are the widely-spaced ones that you might want for a flash drive!). I put the keyboard and mouse in the 2-port, 2 external hard drives and an external DVD drive in the back, and that leaves the front 5 for items like the camera, phone, etc. that I might want to swap. I'm using Vista and that wanted a restart after it installed the driver.

Really useful hub, I have only 2 usb in my laptop!! Only one downside: I have the cooler connected to the hub and I have to unplug it all the time when I switch off my laptop!!
