Read good reviews about this so I bought it this year from Amazon. Western Digital have an excellent reputation for building great hard drives, giving good customer care and service and unike Samsung, Western Digital allow you to send the drives directly back to them for repair or replacement if they go wrong with in the warranty period. ************************** Good points - Its perfect, fast, extremely reliable, very low noise. Its one of these fit and forget hard drives, it works first time every time with no worries. Bad points - None ************************** Conclusion ---------- Next time I need a new hard drive I will buy one of these again as its a joy to use.

Delighted with the product. Installed in new PC and connected with SATAII cable. The speed is great and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 in minutes.

I have always had good experiences with Western Digital drives and this one is no exception. I would recommend WD to anyone. And this is such good value for money, too.

Bought this for my AMD based build and it works well! Its exeptionally quiet and reletively fast. Just be careful when handling though because a hard drive is static prone. Overall a great hard drive!

Arrived 3 days early, no problems with packaging - looks like Amazon have taken peoples' comments into consideration. Great drive definitely worth it!

This is a poor-performance drive and accesses data extremely sluggishly when used as a primary/boot partition drive. Make sure you pay a little bit more and get a drive which is not painfully slow.
7200rpm?

Hi im thinking of getting this for my main drive to put my windows 7 pro on but just wondering if this HD is 7200rpm?. Im buying a new HD due mine is saying boot disc faild and it also making clicking sounds and im getting an app crash errors all the time :P. Just checking on the 7200rpm Thanks for any info.

Has been working fine since it was bought, surprisingly quiet and very fast. No problems so far.
